We welcome questions about the services we provide. Our representatives welcome and value any inquiries or comments you may have. Please don't hesitate to contact us (Phone: 0208 809 36 04, Mobile: +36 20 243 2910, E-mail: dentistry@dentistrytravel.co.uk).
When should someone consider treatment in a foreign country?
Below you will find some of the most common reasons people give for choosing to have treatment abroad.
- When your private health insurance does not cover the procedures you need, and your personal savings are insufficient to allow you to afford the high cost of dental services in the UK.
- When you do not have medical or dental insurance.
Why is treatment so inexpensive in Hungary?
Simply because the overheads for a dentist in Hungary are comparatively lower than in other parts of Europe.
How to make my decision?
Do not come to Hungary for only one filling; It's not worth it! However if you need slightly more complex dental treatment you will be astonished at the price difference. In the case of more complex treatments this difference can amount to several thousand pounds. We suggest you seek several estimates for the treatment you need in your own country and then compare them with our price list. You will see the difference!
How much money can I save?
For example: A porcelain bonded crown or bridge unit costs about £ 500 at a private Practice in Britain. Excluding any preliminary work or other incidental costs (e.g.: root canal, fillings, etc.), a ten-unit bridge would cost £ 5000!
How long do I have to stay in Hungary?
One week is normally more than enough for most crown and bridge work. Implants require a 10-12 days stay with a return visit of 6 days after about 4-6 months.
How to get to Hungary?
Our Dental Specialists run the Practice near to the Austrian, and Slovakian border, 120 km from Vienna, and 80 km from Bratislava. Thanks to the low budget airlines Hungary has become an easily and cheaply accessible destination. For example, a London-Vienna flight now costs as little as 40 GBP.
(Please check the prices at http://www.britishairways.com, http://www.ryanair.com, http://www.easyjet.com.)
What about the language barrier?
All our dentists speak English fluently.
Who else goes to Hungary for their dental treatment?
Many thousands of Swiss, Austrian and British people travel to Hungary for dental treatment every year. For people who live on the eastern side of Austria it's just a short drive across the border.
How do I pay for my treatment?
You can pay in Sterling, Euros, Hungarian Forints or with any major credit card.
If I want to go ahead with treatment how much notice do I need to give?
It's helpful if you can give as much notice as possible but we need at least two weeks to organise appointments, accommodation and flights.
